“Muitas descrições dos deuses teísticos se baseiam em várias das seguintes características: benevolência perfeita, amor perfeito, justiça perfeita, bondade perfeita, onipotência, onisciência e outras. Não se pode reconciliar estas características com as características da realidade. Se um deus teístico criou tudo, então o mal tem que ser não somente permitdo por Deus, mas também ter sido criado por Ele. Postular seres maus (demônios, Satanás, espíritos malignos, etc.) não nega isto, porque estes seres são criações de Deus, se aceita que Deus é a única fonte de tudo que existe.”
“Many descriptions of theistic deities are based on many of the following characteristics: perfect benevolence, perfect love, perfect justice, perfect goodness, omnipotence, omniscience, and others. One cannot reconcile these characteristics with the nature of reality. If a theistic god created everything, then evil must not only be permitted by God, but also created by God. Postulating evil beings (devils, Satan, evil spirits, etc.) does not negate this, because those beings must be able to be traced back to the creative work of God if one accepts God as the source of all that is.”
